Does $1,100 for 2 stitches seem reasonable?

I had a recent minor mountain bike wreck. Cut my elbow and after prompting from my wife, finally went to Urgent Care several hours later. The bill is linked above. Now we are very fortunate to have health insurance to cover the bulk of this, but this is important for victims of car accidents also. It is important because of the cost of a trip to Urgent Care, not the Emergency Room for 2 stitches was billed at over a $1,000. The Missouri minimum coverage for motor vehicle insurance has been $25,000 for decades. Hospital charges are ever increasing. A trip to the ER can quickly exhaust $25,000 in coverage in diagnostic testing alone. This is not even treating the injury, only figuring out what is wrong. It is important to purchase plenty of Uninsured Motorist coverage and Underinsured Motorist coverage to protect yourself against those driving without insurance and those driving with only the minimum coverage. Call your insurance agent to discuss this as soon as possible.
