Graco car seat recall

According to an ongoing investigation by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA),  Graco has voluntarily recalled between 3.7 and 3.8 million child car seats due to issues with a faulty buckle involving 11 of 18 models of car seats investigated by the NHTSA.

After  complaints from parents who had difficulty unlatching the Graco car seats  the NHTSA began and investigation and found that the red release button in the center of the harness often becomes stuck. The organization determined that this faulty component would make it difficult or nearly impossible to remove a child from the car seat in the case of an emergency.

This NY Times article would dispute some of the claims made by Graco.
