Don’t rely on Social Security to Prove your Missouri Disability Case
I recently met with a nice lady who had recently lost her appeal hearing after trying to represent herself. I looked over the ALJ’s Unfavorable Decision and turned to the back section showing the evidence the Judge used to make the ruling. There were literally no medical records. Zero. Now the Social Security Administration will request records for you and in this case had sent off for some records, but the responses from the medical providers indicated there were no records for the dates requested. No further efforts were made by SSA.
As I have stated before it is NOT the Social Security Administrations duty to prove you are disabled. It is up to you to do so. Getting a social security disability lawyer can be a vital step to helping prove this, but you must help your disability attorney prove your case.
I know many of these tips sound like common sense but you would be surprised at how these little tips can go a long way towards helping you improve your chances of winning your Missouri Social Security disability case.
