Hard truths about winning Missouri disability cases

All too often I see prospective clients who have an unsuccessful disability claim because of a lack of effort on their behalf. These are some of the hard truths about winning Missouri disability cases. We see folks have multiple claims denied or dismissed for not returning paperwork, failing to attend appointments, or not timely filing an appeal. Some prospective clients want to hire a lawyer on the mistaken belief that we will take care of everything without them participating in the process and helping us prove there case.

Frankly these aren’t the the type of cases my office takes because these clients typically will be unable to have a successful disability claim. Their claim will not be successful because winning your disability benefits requires a team effort and especially cooperation from the person claiming they are disabled.

Here is a link to some of my old tips on how to improve your chances of winning your case.

If you do not have a current doctor or access to treatment, DO NOT wait to start finding treatment, as it can take considerable time for Medicaid approval or to get a sliding scale treating doctor appointment. Start now!
